New York, NY, June 30, 2008 - A&E IndieFilms is the
lead sponsor for the 2008 Third Screen Film Festival; an interactive film
experience that allows participants to view and vote for their favorite film
submissions via internet or mobile phone.
<>Participants can find festival film shorts
online at the A&E IndieFilms site, www.aetv.com/indiefilms, and on
A&E’s mobile/WAP site, mobile.aetv.com. All submissions will be
available on the Third Screen Film Festival’s site – www.thirdscreenfilmfestival.com
and through Nano, which is viewed on MSOTV wireless and their cable outlets.
<>
Viewers will determine their favorite film
(The Overall Winner) and a panel of industry insiders will determine their
own Jury Prize winner.
<>
There will also be an award for the most
popular Mobile film and those votes will be added to the Broadband votes to
discover the Overall Winner. All winners will have a chance to meet top
development executives at A&E IndieFilms. The Overall
Winner will receive a $5,000 cash prize. The other winners will receive
Liquid Avid editing software and other prizes TBD.
<>
This year’s panel of judges includes top
programmers, directors and content developers from some of the most
recognizable brands in the world such as A&E and MTV. A celebration
and screening of the winners will take place on October 30th at the Paley
Center in Beverly Hills.
