The American Film Market is where the business of independent motion picture production and distribution reaches its peak for eight (8) days in Santa Monica, California. FilmNewsAndViews.com attended this exciting, well-attended event and we bring you two insights into what went on.

1) Discussion Panel

According to Managing Director, Jonathan Wolf, 2006 is the biggest year yet for the AFM Conference, with over 8,000 industry leaders attending and participants from over 70 countries, in which the majority of the year's independent feature films are bought and sold for distribution through the global independent motion picture market.

2) I-See-You.com Interview w/ Beau Bridges

In my interview with Beau Bridges, he revealed that there were some quite risqué scenes in his newest film “ I See You.Com” and indeed there are. He was quite charming and candid in his interview along with first time director Eric Steven Stahl (who also wrote and produced as well). This film, being a contemporary comedy is quite unique at the AFM as most films at the market are either action, adventure or horror. There are some very amusing scenes as his character gets deeper and deeper into a plot conceived by his son to make a killing by exploiting both his wife and daughter.
